Effective August 2006, the ASTA was reorganized into three statewide Zones, "A", "B" and "C". The Zip Code and county of a gun club or residence of an individual member determines their Zone affiliation. A maximum of three (3) directors from each Zone will serve on the Board of Directors. Nominations will be from the floor at the Annual Meeting. If a Zone has less than three candidates, a member at large may be nominated and elected by the members from the Zone not having sufficient candidates. Incoming Directors will serve a three year term.
ASTA Board Requirements:
Candidates for the board must have registered not less than 4000 targets in the ATA target year preceding their candidacy.
Seated board members must register 4000 targets in the ATA year preceding the annual meeting.
Candidates for Zone Director and seated board members will have their qualification requirements verified by the State Delegate or his/her designee.
